We Offer a Safe and Hygienic Environment for Tooth Extraction
If you have a painful, damaged, decayed or infected tooth, sometimes tooth extraction is the only solution. Of course, you may also wish to get a tooth extracted for aesthetic reasons if your teeth are overly crowded. At Craig Glick DDS, we can provide expert tooth extractions for damaged or intact teeth. Because Dr. Glick is an expert in extractions of non-impacted teeth and our whole staff is committed to ensuring your safety and comfort, your extraction will go smoothly and be over before you know it. If you have any questions about tooth extraction, just give us a call at (818) 305-6410. Dr. Glick will be happy to meet with you and examine your teeth.
Fast and Easy Emergency Tooth Extraction
“I did have an emergency. I just came over here on a Friday and said, “Look this is not going away and I don’t want to live with it over the weekend.” It turned out to be a cracked tooth that we’d had some concern about for a long time and he extracted it. I trust Dr. Glick entirely. I trust him with my family, all five kids, my grandson, my wife and myself.”

In fact, he regards it as a special challenge and actually enjoys working with patients who think they are afraid of the dentist—he will change their minds! Dr. Glick is skilled in many kinds of extractions, but he is not afraid to recognize his limits. If you have an impacted wisdom tooth or molar that could present complications during surgery, Dr. Glick will refer you to a specialist. You can trust our office to always have your best interests at heart and to provide honest advice and assessments.
Caring for Patients after Tooth Extraction Surgery
While you will be able to walk out of our office after your tooth extraction in Encino, our role in your recovery is far from over. We make a point of calling every patient after their surgery to make sure that they are doing well. Dr. Glick will explain what to expect post-surgery as well as how to relieve any pain and swelling you may experience and prevent infection. We’ll provide you with prescriptions for the medication you may need to reduce pain and speed the recovery process. We are always available to answer any questions you may have after your tooth extraction surgery. Simply call us at (818) 305-6410 with your questions or to schedule a follow up visit with Dr. Glick.
We Won’t Resort to Tooth Extraction Prematurely
At Craig Glick DDS, we are dedicated to helping patients keep their natural teeth for as long as possible. This means that we regard tooth extraction as a last resort that can be used to eliminate pain when a tooth is too badly damaged or decayed to be saved. If we think it is possible to save your tooth with another procedure such as a crown or a root canal rather than extracting it, we will definitely let you know. You can rely on Dr. Glick to provide his expert opinion regarding your best course of action when dealing with a problem tooth. No matter which treatment you ultimately decided to undergo, Dr. Glick will approach the job with the same professionalism and care.
Replacing Teeth After Extraction
Getting a tooth extracted is just the first part of a two-step process. Once the painful tooth has been removed, you still need to find a way to replace it so that you can speak and eat comfortably. If you opt not to replace the tooth, neighboring teeth can shift into the gap, resulting in crooked, misaligned teeth that won’t look very nice or provide you with a good bite. If you’ve had a single tooth extracted, you could replace it with a bridge or a dental implant. If you’ve had multiple teeth extracted, you may need a full or partial denture, or even implant-supported dentures. Dr. Glick will be happy to explain all your options to you in detail after your tooth extraction surgery. Please contact us online to get the process started.
